From what I remember is that it's set in a BDSM au of Atlantis and it involves John punishing Rodney. The punishment involved pretty heavy spanking, Rodney having his dick wrapped up in some rough Athosian bandage ?? And I'm pretty sure having his balls hit too.

I'm also positive that at one point John was hesitant to punish Rodney so severely because he was in a bad relationship before ?? The dude was named Ivan.


Ive read all the well-known BDSM au's out there but it is entirely likely that I've just forgotten which one it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for a fic I half remember. Before going through the Gate, John and Rodney went through a Pinky and the Brain style routine: "What are we doing today, Pinky?" We're going to save the world, Brain".
And I think at some point John said "McKay, ix-nay on the" something, when they were near some hostile aliens. And it's said that "Mommy and Daddy are fighting" meaning Rodney and John, and that the Marines are consequently off their game a bit.

ETA: the Pinky and the Brain part was from 'You've got to be kidding, right?' part one of The Paradox of Complexity on Ao3. Found by terrycene.

Broken ship, John in trouble, and Rodney in stasis Mcshep fic

I'm looking for a fic where the Atlantis expeditition never happened (or was lost?). John is a new recruit to the SGC on Earth and a mission of some sort goes wrong when he steps through a stargate and ends up on a broken down spaceship. He thinks it's abandoned, but then finds a laptop from the SGC and Rodney stuck in a stasis chamber, which he apparently went into because he got hurt (maybe?). The only plan John has for escape is to get Rodney out of the stasis chamber since he thinks Rodney will know what happened on the ship and how it can be fixed. While waiting for Rodney to heal, he starts running out of food and feels like he's going insane from the isolation, so he talks to Rodney's body (who he calls Mack?). I'm pretty sure the SGC are lookingfor John, but believe Rodney has been dead for awhile because it did something heroic that he shouldn't have been able to survive.

Does this sound familiar to anybody? I have this feeling that it's based on Sleeping Beauty or some other fairy tale in some way, but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance!

Very, very vague details here, sorry! Rodney doesn't go out much, I believe it's a non-Stargate AU. He is an empath, I think, which is why he doesn't go out and is some sort of computer hacker.

I think there's a scene in some sort of parking structure where he has problems because of his sensitivities.

That's all I've got! If anyone can translate that into a story, I'll love you forever!

ETA Turns out, I had the wrong fandom. Though I haven't read it in ages, it's a TS fic. D'oh!

I am looking for a fairly old story, I think, where John and Rodney are captured by bad guys and fed to the wraith similar to the common ground story. I don't remember many of the details but I think they fed Rodney to the wraith first and John was trying to help him cope and then volunteering himself? Sorry the details are so vague but I have been going crazy trying to find it.

I have a vague memory of a story where Daniel Jackson is on Atlantis, maybe even in charge, when the Genii attack (again). In retaliation the Lantians blow up the Gate or maybe just the dhd...
It isn't Transcendental where Elizabeth is poisoned and Rodney locks their gate. That's the one that triggered the memory.
Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Looking for a story that was John's POV and him an Rodney go to a hot sunny planet to look at some sort of outpost. John sorta thinks that Rodney is annoying and they have to rope down this cliff in the hot sun. They are ealking through the woods toward th outpost when John pushes.Rodney out of the way of a trap and gets hurt. Rodney buries there packs and heads towatd the outpost by himself. John passes out and when he comes to Rodney is back and says that there are so.e bad people at the outpost so they have to get back to the jumper. Rodney ends you carrying John back but before they make it somr of the bad guys come upon them and Rodney kills one I think. Then he drags John back to the jumper.

Anyone know this one? It has been killing me! Thanks.

Hello again, you amazing story finders! I have yet another request, if you please.

Between re-watching the series and reading a few recently-requested stories, I was reminded of the one where McKay is a tiger shifter, and on a mission is accidentally bound to Sheppard, who grabbed the back of his neck to push him to the ground when they're being attacked. It basically goes throughout the series with that alternate 'verse, with things like Rodney freaking out when John goes along with Chaya, and Lucius puts an outlawed collar on Rodney to force him to remain a tiger and be docile.

Does anyone have a favorite funny SGA story? I'd kind of like some with Atlantis people back for a visit and trying to re-adjust to life on Earth and it's really weird customs that they haven't had to deal with for a while. Like money, doors that don't open as you walk thru etc.

I've looked at SGA genre finders, scrolled through Crossroads and browsed Wraithbait. What I can't find is a McShep story where John, I think goes through a mirror and finds he's set to marry Sam. Who turns out to be kind of Evil!Sam with murderous intentions. I could, again be conflating several stories into one, but I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking for has those particulars. Thanks a bunch for any help 😁

I vaguely remember Atlantis as a kindom, O'neill being the current ruler and John the runner up or becoming the runner up during the story. At the end they mary and the only thing I remember clearly is that when John puts the ring on Rodney's finger it radiates blue indicating the gene in him.
Sorry, not a lot to go one I know but maybe it will ring a bell with someone....

I'm looking for a fic where I think that John and Rodney are kidnapped on a mission, because of the way John shies away from being touched. He's given a mark on his neck, which is somehow drugging him. Rodney works it out and uses his marker pen to touch it up when it fades, in order to wean John off. Meantime, Rodney is having to work for the locals.

It's not Nice Place to Visit by Sabinelagrande or Advantage by Resonant.

What I remember about the fic is that the team is off world visiting some (for reals) friendly natives, and Rodney is worried about local dangers, but John blows him off because they would have been warned. John insists they try fishing, and one of them (I'm leaning towards Rodney but am unsure) gets venom in the face from a spitting fish and is blinded by it. They weren't warned, of course, because EVERYONE knows about the blinding fish!

Hello again! I hope you guys don't mind me throwing in another request.

That One Where John finds out there's a camera system that lets him view parts of Atlantis, and one of his favorite views is of a lot of those bubble-tubes, and he watches it while he relaxes and listens to Pink Floyd. Rodney also finds out about the camera, and ends up watching John watching things, though he doesn't know what John is watching. And then things accidentally get naughty.

BAMF Rodney rescues john?

I hope there isn't some sort of unspoken rule about too frequent requesting. :x

Anyway - there is a story out there where John(?) gets kidnapped, and his captors are threatening to start cutting off bits (they may have already sent back a finger or something). I don't recall the reasoning, but something is keeping them from sending a rescue party (too risky / no authorization / taking too long to get off their asses / some other BS).

Rodney gets fed up, and in typical heroically terrified Rodney style, goes through the gate alone.

I don't remember if the author 'fades to black' through Rodney's invasion, or if all the detail is ther, but if I recall correctly, it was very bloody and there might have been electricity involved (or one or the other, not sure exactly).

I only read this one once, and it has been years, so it is possible I am getting things mixed up between fics. It is possible it was a 'rodney was kidnapped and has to save himself because nobody knows where he is' thing too. I just remember something with him being both resourceful, and surprisingly (violent / bloodthirsty / willing to kill) in order to save (John / himself / himself and John).

ETA 2: *sheepishly slinks back in* See, that's the problem. One fic reminds me of another fic which reminds me of another fic which reminds me of one I can't find now. SNAFU led me to another of sardonicsmiley's (Through the Noise to the Sea, if you're interested), where Rodney is an atlantean native merman, and the scene in it where the Genii, during their attempted takeover of the city, cut Rodney's hand membranes.

This brought to mind another story, where the cutting of Rodney's arm was really bad ('looked like hamburger', I think is how it was phrased). But because it's in a relatively small area and is covered by few bandages, people think it's a superficial wound and that Rodney caved really easy, so people {get mad at him / form a low opinion of him / shun him for being a cowardly coward}.

I'm throwing this in here as an edit because I don't want to be a community-hogging jerk that floods the front page with requests. :|

Looking for a fic where John & Rodney on earth. I believe John is hit by a car and Rodney panics and has the Dedalus beam John to SGC. On lookers witness the disappearance of John and the Stargate program is eventually made public. At one point Rodney is is a brig of some type & Carter comes to visit. Sound familiar ??

I am looking for a fic I read some time ago. Atlantis is not quite Independent, but John is slowly moving it towards that and Rodney agrees. I think it is McShep. The most I remember is that at some point John is arguing for adding a vetrenarian to Atlantis with a list about the 10 reason to have a vet with you during an apocalypse.

I can't find this one but maybe I'm just not searching the right keywords -
I assume it's post enemy at the gate given that Atlantis is on earth to begin with. People are having weird dreams about leaving earth. They collect certain people and leave earth in the end going towards Pegasus. The bad people in dreams were people who had been implanted with some kind of organic device that changed how they behaved. I remember that Jeannie Miller and Madison went but don't think her husband did, and David Sheppard went but not his wife.... There was some teen that they rescued as well.

Any suggestions?

Hey all, a while ago I read a AU fanfiction that I just can't find again for the life of me. In it, I remember it's starting off with John Sheppard being some kind big deal Demon Hunter? He had the tattoos, and I think he was in a conference room with a bunch of other people to be hired for the Stargate program. He realized they were demons there was going to show their true colors with his tattoos, but Rodney stopped him. I think Rodney was some kind of angel but hiding. And Carson Beckett was the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Anyone recognize it? Jon's parents had apparently sold his soul to a demon in it as well, bit that was a side story
