John is a Shifter

I was reading Blackchap's "Turn into Something Beautiful" and remembered a similar story. Problem is, I don't know if SGA is the correct fandom.

Here goes what little I remember: O'Neill is awarded a shifter for saving Earth. He goes reluctantly to where they are housed. One shifter is on top of a cabinet in cat form and Jack is told the individual is stuck in that form. So Jack claims him. That's all I recall. Sigh. It might be a SG1 crossover with Sentinel since I was reading a lot of them.

Anyone have a clue?

Trying to find a story I read featuring Daniel and Rodney

Main Characters where Daniel and Rodney. They were traveling together on earth, when they got stranded overnight in a small town due to there car breaking down. At the local diner they are given directions to a local inn keeper.
Only, it turns out the inn keeper is a Goa'uld.
I remember the story had a kind of Lovecraft horror feel to it.

John is able to change into a mountain lion/cougar? I remember the people at Antartica being wary of him,and there is a snowball fight with the marines throwing snowball and John trying to catch them. It is McShep.

I've been looking for awhile so any help wii be appreciated.

Hi all I
I am looking for a story where Sam decides to teach her present day Rodney about team and what it means to be a part of one. Instead future Rodney is sent back and since the program is new, and Sam who does not really understand the tech assures Hammond that Rodney is not from the future, so noone believes him. I do remember that Daniel walks into a conference room where Rodney is running equations to disprove all the possible things that could be happening to cause his situation. I also remember it ends with Rodney doing a runner to Canada.

Also I know there was a sort of companion/alternative fic where Rodney (who has been mind wiped) remembers nothing before his original meeting with Hammond.

Hi all,

This is my first time posting like this, but I can't find this story and it's driving me nuts. I had once read a story where to deal post-Sunday, Rodney had composed music in secret, except Sheppard found it and the composition helped him with his emotions and then he ended up sharing it with others, whom it also helped and Rodney was furious but ended up playing it for everyone in the end.

Does anyone know this story?

Military vs scientists, sort of

So the military people of Atlantis get possessed (maybe by Goa'uld, maybe not) and they kill several scientists, I think there was a scene in the gate room, where they throw them into the gate with the shield up or they shoot them or something???? They get unpossessed somehow and afterwards they feel really guilty to the point where they don't interact with the scientists anymore, sort of keeping them safe at a distance? And I seem to remember a scene where the scientists decide enough is enough and sit with them at meals and they all work through it? Maybe McShep? So many question marks?????

EDIT: thank you so much for your help, but it's not Retrograde/Recovery or Something More. There are similarities but it's not it. The death by gate shield thing might not be in the story? Pretty sure the story didn't feature SG1, and the action happened live so to speak, no flashbacks or characters retelling the story. Also either Miko or Simpson are the last to die and it's pretty emotional. And it's also quite focused on the aftermath, mending ties and whatnot, the scientists being the ones providing the impetus. Anon's details in the comments sound right too, I think, so thank you for that!

I remember reading a story, awhile ago, Doctor Rodney McKay has a disc when activated, a hologram. It has real awesome personalty that had adapt to McKay's. That is all I could remember about it. Except I remember now, McKay was in trouble it went got help for him.

I hope someone could remember the name and location from what little I gave.

Greetings Storyfinders

I've had no luck finding 2 fics. I can only remember a tiny bit of each one and hope someone finds them familiar.
1) Someone ?John ?Rodney ?someone else finds themselves in ?the infirmary of an alternate Atlantis where Dave Sheppard is CO. Dave states his brother never joined the military but raises horses ?Welsh mountain ponies with his husband, a guy they went to school with. Dave sounds homophobic and when asked about his brother, says "I didn't say I was ok with it".
2) John and Rodney have got together and Rodney is annoyed that John is standing very close to him in public. Rodney thinks "Clingy much? If you are going to cling, then I'm going to mess with you".

I've been searching all over, including the post-Trinity lists but I can't find it. The team is on an alien planet, and they're offered food. Rodney is worried about eating it but Sheppard dismisses the concern and tells him to just eat it. Rodney starts to have a reaction but the aliens don't want to let Sheppard go get his epi pen to treat him. Finally he's able to treat Rodney. It's McShep. Any help? I know it's a well-read story, but I can't find it!

John punished for an explosion - loss of life

All I can remember about the story is that John is tried and convicted for a terrible accident that occurs while his team is off planet; the explosion results in the deaths of several locals. His punishment involves some kind of torture device that renders the victim unable to hear their own name--causes the victim intense pain. I believe that John also suffered from temporary amnesia. Thanks for any hint as to the name or where I can find it. (First time poster, so I apologize in advance for any faux pas!)

Carson's cure doesn't work. John gets worse and some people want to euthanize him but Rodney won't let them. He builds a special habitat for John to live in and eventually John recovers.

I'm trying to locate this short story where O'Neill forces John to go home for the holidays (is the canon family, but before Outcast because Patrick was still alive) but he and his father fights and John leaves. Later O'Neill find him at a bar and, after John tells him what happened, he pays Patrick a visit and berates him for treating his son bad.

Looking for two fics because parts of them popped into my mind and now won't leave me alone.

1) Slavefic au where John is being trained as a slave, Rodney at a certain age has to pick one, and the part that's sticking in my brain is picking day where somebody wants to claim John because he's hot but it turns out that Rodney had already stacked his claim because he researched all the available slaves and John was good in math and he wanted him to help him with his research. (Then they figure out the sex part later ;p)

2. Okay now this one is probably famous and I'm an idiot for not finding it. But au college fic, starts with Rodney locked out of his lab so he decides to go to a frat party, meets John there who is being hazed by wearing s dress "princess atlantia" or something, and they get drunk and grope under a table. Then Rodney ends up tutoring the whole click of frats (including Ford, I'm pretty sure), and (much later) they almost get kicked out for cheating until Rodney storms in to say he was turtoring them. His grad professor moans about karma and gives Rodney the key to the lab. (And John goes to meet him there.)

Ok I have been looking for this for over a week. I think I might be mixing up more than one story which is causing me problems.
John and Rodney live together and may be "fake" married. I think John is gay and Rodney knows, but Rodney still identifies as straight. They sleep in the same bed because of the maybe "fake" marriage. I remember a scene in which Lorne walks into their room because emergency and they weren't answering their radios. Anyway, they eventually become physically closer and I think it all culminates in a dance. They dance together, get really turned on and leave to actually sleep together.

I'm not sure about the gay!John or the "marriage," but I am sure they live together and sleep in the same bed.

I have a mighty craving for a story I vaguely remember. John/Rodney, and about all I can remember is that John lives in a box underneath Rodney's desk. Possibly he's bug'i'fied, because I remember something about a blue scaly claw? Maybe Rodney never went to Atlantis, and John-in-the-box is there to activate ancient devices on command.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Pretty sure it's Mckay/Sheppard, and the only thing I remember is that SG1 receives weekly/monthly bursts of data stream from Atlantis which includes video mission reports from John Sheppard. All I remember is that Jack/Daniel looking forward to John's weekly updates on Atlantis shenanigans.

Any help would be awesome, trying to find this fic has been bugging me.

I'm looking for a fic that centered around a mass evacuation of earth to Atlantis because of an incoming attack. I'm fairly certain this fic was written by a frequent Nano/Roughtrade author, but I don't actually remember if the specific fic was part of either of those. If it is, then there is a good chance it isn't on the web anywhere, but on the off chance it wasn't part of it or it was posted somewhere else: It was a massive crossover. At the time I read it, it wasn't finished, or if it was finished it ended fairly soon after everyone left earth and made it to Atlantis. I think it started with O'Neill calling Dinozzo (NCIS). Apparently they met previously during a case and Tony was told that, if the time ever came, he might get a call and he would basically have to pack up and leave. I know it also had Hawaii 5-0 mentioned. The majority of the part that I read showed different people being called and packing up - as well as the preparations needed to get everyone off earth. I think there was a lot of looting with Asgard beams and some sort of data crystal to hold it all (?). I may have this last bit mixed up with another fic, but I think one of the last scenes I read had President Hayes in the White House facing off against Adria (so I guess the attack came from the Ori?) Hayes had Kinsey tied up, but let him run his mouth off to show her the type of extreme religious beliefs that existed already.

Anyone know what this might be? Thanks
