I was watching Stargate Atlantis again and when the episode S5 E15 'Remnants,' came on, I am reminded of a story I read once. Of course I can't remember much about it.
It's complicated story that is tied to the episode the AI from an alien device they found on their ocean, it called the seeds Sekkari a peaceful race. It turns they are not. They have a terrible history, tied into many horrible things that happened in Pegasus history. In the story there is a colored egg tied to Sekkari, it either purple, blue or pink. there might be another race that is intends find that egg and destroy it. Somehow the SGA-1 got hold of it and they are not sure what they have and only later they do. I can't be sure anything from there, but it had me tied to the story couldn't put it down.
