I thought I had this bookmarked, but oh, well. For some reason, John flies Atlantis out of the Pegasus galaxy, leaving a political fight behind him. He goes to a galaxy where he can't eat the food, and is gifted an elongated life against his will. When he finally flies back to Earth, his city is considered an old model.
