As I recall, John is visiting earth from Atlantis when the end comes (via Wraith, I think). He sets up a small base someplace like New Hampshire (in a cave or a bunker?), somehow Daniel Jackson and he end up co-leading their little group, and eventually they hook up with Rodney. I know it's not a lot to go on, which could be why I'm having a heck of a time finding it. Thanks for your help!
