Sidhe John

I am sure it is McShep. John is called from Atlantis back to his family in the UK He was kind of persona non grata for having left to join the mundane world and there was a lot of hostility on the part of some of the others including one who expected to be the heir because I think John was a half blood. Rodney goes with him. There were also winged horses (John's was black of course). I believe John ended up fighting a duel with the person who expected to take over his place. I think though the society was matriarchal. I hope someone can recognize this one because I have been going through my saved stories for the past few hours trying to find it (of course I get sidetracked occasionally) and i would really like to reread this one.
