This is driving me insane, here is what I remember:
1) It was a story written in the POV by an OC who turned out to be an old friend/camrade of John.
2) Said friend nearly runs over a man he thinks is a homeless guy. Later that night that guy shows up at his house and it turns out it is John.
3) John is very confused and paranoid. He thinks he is being hunted by bad guys and wants to get to his team but doesn't know how.
4) His friend contacts other friends of John (I think). They think John is suffering from PTSD.
5) John had a tracking chip implanted but he cut it out. That actually confirms his friends idea that he is suffering from PTSD.
6) In the end the bad guys show up. And then the team. John is safed.
